In this lesson we look at the second chorus of the solo. We look at how Wes uses arpeggios from the 3rd of the chord, chromatic lines and ignoring certain chords during fast changes .
This is a brand new series on the stupidly cool ‘Four On Six’ by Wes Montgomery! This tune is very close to my heart as one of the tunes that got me into jazz.
I’m going to transcribe the whole piece including his 9 choruses and a comping lesson over the piano solo.
