Welcome back! Here is the fourth in a lesson series on ‘Chitlins Con Carne’ by Kenny Burrell. Last week we looked at the second chorus of the solo. There are free TABs/Notation in the download area.
Kenny stays in the minor pentatonic again with some smatterings of the blues scale. There are some sophisticated slick slippery lines (I love sibilance) where Kenny makes use of the slide legato technique. And also he delves further down the neck demonstrating he knows the pentatonic scale all over the neck. Why not try learning your pentatonic scales in as many places as possible.
