This week we continued by learning the first 16 bars of the solo. And what a crazy packed solo it is. There is so much to learn! But it’s relatively simple to play which is awesome when you are trying to learn new things!
In this video we learn about pinched harmonics. Usually used in 80’s hair metal, we hear it here in a blues/fusion/jazz context. Just goes to show you can use most techniques in any genre. We also look at phrasing, tri-tones, micro-tones (and I talk a little about Jacob Collier) and also hybrid picking. So much all in one video!
