Using more than one scale during a passage can make your solos more interesting.
This lick is in the key of D Minor. During the horizontally ascending line I start with an A diminished line and then move on to a whole tone line (actually using both whole tone scales) but using the same rhythmic approach. It’s then finished off with a slippery D Minor pentatonic line this time descending vertically. Have a go!
